Police put on the anchors as ‘boat chase’ goes awry

Police are searching for an early 90's model Ford Falcon after a pursuit earlier today.

POLICE are searching around the hills for an early ’90s model Ford Falcon after a low-speed pursuit including a boat this afternoon.
During a routine patrol of Wicks Reserve in The Basin, Boronia Police indicated for the Falcon, towing a boat, to stop.
Only, the driver refused to drop and led police on a low-speed pursuit onto Boronia Road.
Police eventually gave up their pursuit for safety reasons, when the Falcon was driving on the side of the road and, later, when the boat hit a car at the intersection of Tormore and Boronia roads, causing minor damage.
In their patrols, the police then came across the boat and trailer, dumped in Sandpiper Court.
Police are searching for the early ’90s model Ford Falcon sedan and its driver, who is described as Caucasian with dark hair.
Police are still investigating the incident and whether the boat was stolen.
